Fitness Professional

S

Stephanie has been in the fitness industry for 35 years, working as a group exercise instructor, personal trainer, and life coach. She is certified in numerous formats, including yoga, cycling, aqua, and senior fitness, just to name a few.

While she loves teaching all formats, her favorite classes are those that incorporate functional movement, using exercise to mimic everyday life and help people live longer and move better. Her motto is, “More is not better, better is better,” encouraging people to incorporate meaningful movement into their lives.

As a fitness professional, Stephanie’s goal is to get you ready for the rest of your life. As you age, that means maintaining the strength and confidence to do everyday things—getting up and down from a chair, remaining independent in your home, and continuing to enjoy the activities you love.

A major focus of her Senior Fitness classes is balance training. Falls are a significant concern for older adults, and Stephanie believes that improving balance, strength, and confidence can help reduce that risk.

Outside of fitness, Stephanie loves hiking, camping, backpacking, kayaking, and just about anything outdoors. She is madly in love with her two dogs, Milo and Bristol, and is the proud mom of a 28-year-old son whom she describes as an amazing human being. She also enjoys traveling, crocheting, and working in the yard.

I’d definitely keep her “More is not better, better is better” line. That gives her profile personality and communicates her training philosophy really well.
